On Monday, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo visited the Odisha Pavilion at the 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, and expressed gratitude for the state’s agricultural output, handicrafts, and investment opportunities. According to Singh Deo, the pavilion represents the joint vision of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s Odisha Vision 2036 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s projects, Ek Bharat-Shreshtha Bharat and Atmanirbhar Bharat.
“Odisha, known globally for its handicrafts, is emerging as a strong investment destination. The pavilion showcases opportunities that can generate employment across sectors—from rural handicrafts and agricultural products to industrial development,” he said.
The Deputy Chief Minister spoke with rural craftspeople and company owners at the exhibition during his visit, urging them to grow their companies and look into new prospects. The artwork, handicrafts, and other items on show in the pavilion were well appreciated by him. Singh Deo also went to the Ministry of Power Pavilion on the fourth day of the expo to learn about power generating projects and the use of contemporary and renewable energy technologies like hydroelectric power substitutes. He asked about the adoption of renewable energy and green energy advancements throughout India.
The Deputy Chief Minister also spoke with farmers from several states and agricultural experts at the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Pavilion. He emphasized the value of contemporary technologies in increasing agricultural output while praising their creative methods.
In addition to Deputy Chief Minister Singh Deo, Anurag Bajpai, Additional Chief Secretary of Manipur, also visited the Odisha Pavilion and was impressed by its beautiful design, decorations, and the variety of handicrafts and agricultural products made by regional craftspeople. The Odisha Pavilion, which highlights the state’s plan for sustainable growth and job creation, continues to garner interest at IITF 2025 by fusing cultural heritage with investment potential.
