The 17th Dhauli-Kalinga Mahotsav- 2021 will be held from 6th February at Dhauli with all the Covid-19 guidelines issued by the Centre and State Government.
The three-day event will start from 6th February and will be hosted by Odisha Tourism Department and Orissa Dance Academy (ODA) in cooperation with Art Vision. Unlike every year, this year also the festival will witness performances on classical folk or martial dances. With more than 300 artists belonging to various art forms of Indian dance, the tradition will perform. This year the festival will feature Odissi, Kathak, Bharat Natyam, Kuchipudi and martial dance Chhau.
Guru Pt. Gopal Chandra Panda, an eminent Odissi Vocal Exponent, will be conferred with the prestigious ‘Buddha Samman’. He will be felicitated with an award along with a citation, Anga bastra, and cash award of Rs. 1,00,000.

Guru Gangadhar Pradhan Smruti Samman, Guru K. Rama Rao Patro, renowned Carnatic Veena player; Dr Snehaprava Samantray, eminent Odissi danseuse; Shri Shyamahari Chakra, noted journalist and dance critic, and posthumously to Late Tarakanta Panda, renowned sound Designer & music arranger are eminent personalities who will be felicitated where each of them will receive a citation, anga bastra and cash award of Rs 25,000.

As per the official report, the details performances by various artists are- Padma Shri Guru Aruna Mohanty from Orissa Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar will be performing Odissi, Kathak by Ashimbandhu Bhattacharjee from Upasana Centre for Dance, Kolkata, Mayurbhanj Chhau by Sadashiva Pradhan from Aangika, Bhubaneswar, Odissi by Ileana Citaristi from Art Vision, Bhubaneswar, Bharatnatyam by Anitha Guha from Bharatanjali, Chennai, Purulia Chhau by Susanta Mahato from Kalipada Chhau Nritya Samity, Purulia, Odissi by Swapna Rani Sinha from Nrutya Nilaya, Anugul, Kuchipudi by Vyjayanthi Kashi from Shambhavi School of Dance, Bengaluru and Seraikella Chhau by Shashadhar Acharya from Acharya Chhau Nritya Bichitra, New Delhi.
