From mere entertainment to acquiring an important status in the Industry “ Modelling “ has come a long way. In this very regard , an interview of Prasant Das who is an eminent personality from Modelling Industry and model mentor as well as fashion choreographer has been taken.
How do you feel the modelling industry has changed over the years ?
The modelling industry has witnessed a major change as models are no longer treated as just “ Elements of Entertainment “. Several companies have important roles that the models play . Even nowadays , as far as Digital Marketing in concerned Influencers are being given a very important role in several companies . They are becoming directly responsible for the representation of their brand on a wider platform.
Odisha as a state is very culturally rich . Moreover many startups are also coming out that requires regional models in Odisha . If one has the zeal for modelling one should definitely go for Modelling as a career option. The number of people intrigues towards modelling in Odisha is slightly increasing with each passing day . This is because people are getting aware of opportunities and are getting good guidance for pursuing their dream career .

Do you think people of Odisha are taking up modelling career and is it a bright future option ?
You do play the role of a “MOTHER AGENT”. This concept is very unknown and it has a massive role to play. Can you explain us more about it ?
Of course. A lot of youngsters want to pursue modelling as a career but do not get correct guidance . There is no one who can give them proper knowledge about the industry and this often makes their career take a back seat. I am working as an “ Mother Agent “. So basically , mother agent is a new concept where we guide the people who are interested with our experience in their best suited field. We give them guidance as in which type of modelling they could apply for , the demands in several industries . We also help them in the process of Grooming and getting several projects.
What is one advice you would love to give to the aspiring models of Odisha?
I would like to say modelling is a career that requires a lot of hard work and immense dedication. No one is perfect and several people have several issues like confidence issues, incorrect body posture that often makes them think twice before taking up modelling as a career. But with help of a proper guide one should be able to overcome these issues and do well in their respective fields.
