The daily active COVID cases continue to drop down in Odisha. As per the reports, in the last 24 hours, only 154 new cases has been reported which is the least number of cases in the past one month. On Thursday 173 new cases were reported, thus on Friday 19 fewer cases are reported. Therefore, the daily COVID cases are in a slow yet steady gradual decline in the state.
The state had registered 218 COVID positive cases on Wednesday, 175 cases on Tuesday, 178 cases on Monday, 160 on Sunday, 173 on Saturday and 286 on Friday.

According to the I & PR Department, 91 of the new infections are from quarantine and 63 local contacts. Among them, 26 are in the age group of 0-18 years. Khurda reported the highest of 79 new cases followed by Cuttack at 20. Thirteen districts reported nil cases.
