The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare informed that there is no need for a new registration on the Cowin app and the beneficiaries can directly book an online appointment or walk into any vaccination centre.
According to the reports, the schedules will be published on January 8 and the online appointment facility will start from January 8 and the Vaccination with on-site appointment starts on January 10. All the senior citizens aged 60 years or above will get the precaution dose using their current Co-WIN Account. Beneficiaries can register in advance, on-site or through the Co-WIN registration and the verification will be done using the Adhar.
The report further added that the eligibility will be based on the date of administration of the second dose in the Co-WIN system. Registration and appointment services will be available in both online and offline formats.
Meanwhile, the health ministry stated that India’s vaccination coverage crossed 150 crore doses on January 7. India’s Covid-19 vaccination coverage has crossed 150 crore (1,50,52,21,314) today. More than 81 lakh (81,50,982) vaccine doses have been administered.
