Delhi is still the most unsafe place for the women to live. In a shocking incident, it has been reported that a 87 year old woman has been allegedly raped in New Delhi. As per the reports of the police, the incident has taken place in the Tilak Nagar area.
As per the police reports, a complain of mobile theft was reported by the ladies daughter. However, upon examining the case, it has also been found that the 87 year old woman has also been raped.
“Today, sexual assault has been further alleged by the complainant and subsequently, relevant sections of law have been added to the FIR and an investigation has been taken up,” police informed.
They further said that the victim is being provided counselling and all necessary assistance. As per the data accessed by IANS till October, 2021, crime against women in the national capital continues to show an upward trajectory, compared to 2020’s data.
