Marathon is a practise of running for a good prolonged period of time. Although it has become a very common sport now. Let us know about the story of few exceptional marathoners who would surely give you inspiration.

He is an reputed army official who lost his right leg in the Kargil Conflict. This happened due to a shell explosion. Despite of knowing 10 years to recover, he participated in the Delhi Half Marathon. He put across an amazing performance in the time of 2 minutes and 40 seconds.

Shaliesh Kumar is one of the famous athletes. His interest in sports was evident since a very tender age. As any other normal day, he was participating in a football match in Gaya district – Bihar. However he got severely injured. Since then he had to use a wheelchair. He got recognition in 2011, when he became country’s first wheelchair marathoner.

It is correctly said “Impossible is not a fact, its an opinion”. The will power of two eminent personalities would surely inspire you in your respective careers.
