Interview Times President Kovind greeted all fellow citizens on Easter
President of India Ram Nath Kovind in a message said, “On the auspicious occasion of Easter, I extend my best wishes and heartiest congratulations to all the fellow citizens, especially from the Christian community, living in India and abroad.
“Easter is an occasion to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ that inspires us to follow the path of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness. Let us learn from the life of Jesus Christ and work together for the betterment of entire humanity.”
“May this festival re-instill in us the sense of unity and reinforce our commitment to the well-being and prosperity of our nation,” Kovind added.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi greeted the public on Easter via tweet.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;
“Happy Easter! We recall the thoughts and ideas of Jesus Christ and the emphasis on social justice as well as compassion. May the spirit of joy and brotherhood be furthered in our society.”
