A four-story building collapsed in Mumbai’s Kurla area where around 22-25 people are feared to be trapped as informed by a fire brigade official. As per sources, eight people have been rescued now from the collapsed building and a search operation is underway to look for more survivors.
According to the official reports, the fire brigade personnel reached the spot immediately after receiving a call about the incident and were informed by the locals that around 20-25 people were trapped under the debris. The rescued injured persons were shifted to civic hospitals in Ghatkopar and Sion.
The report further added that a wing of the residential building, which is located in Kurla’s Naik Nagar Society, collapsed around midnight. He also added that the connected wing was also likely to collapse. Around a dozen fire engines were deployed at the spot besides two rescue vans and other fire brigade equipment.
