According to local media, a mother from Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur Kheri district is accused of severing her boyfriend’s genitals after he allegedly attempted to rape her 14-year-old daughter. The unidentified mother recalled witnessing a fight and confronting the man inside the house they shared. “I was working in the farm at the time of the incident,” she told the Times of India. “Fortunately, I returned home just in time to catch him red-handed.” “He even attacked me while I was trying to save my daughter,” she continued, “so I took a knife from the kitchen and chopped off his private parts to teach him a lesson.” “I have no qualms about what I did.”The woman had been living with the 32-year-old man for two years after she had left her previous partner due to his drinking habits. The man’s condition is critical, and he has been transferred to Lucknow for further care. The accused has been charged with rape under Section 376 of the IPC and other provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, according to SHO Lakhimpur Chandrashekhar Singh. He stated that when the accused recovers, he will be interrogated.
