The price of 24-carat gold per 10 grammes in Bhubaneswar dropped from Rs 51,900 to Rs 5,1850 on Friday due to the fluctuation in gold and silver prices across the nation. In the previous three days, the price of the yellow metal has decreased three times. The cost of 10 grammes of 23- and 22-carat gold has decreased by 100 rupees to Rs 50,000 and Rs 48,900, respectively.

The price of 20, 18, and 14-carat gold also decreased, falling to Rs 44,200, Rs 40,000, and Rs 31,600, respectively. Today, pure Ginni (gold coin) is being traded for Rs 40,300 as opposed to Rs 40,400 yesterday. Gold is currently being traded in Cuttack for Rs 5,250 (GST 995) and Rs 5,180 (Cash 995) per gramme. The cost of a kilogramme of silver, on the other hand, is Rs 54,500 in Bhubaneswar. Notably, state taxes, excise taxes, and manufacturing fees affect the price of gold in India.In the first hour of trading on Wednesday, the rupee fell to 79.59 against the US dollar due to gloomy macroeconomic data and tensions between the US and China.
