Biju Janata Dal (BJD) today claimed to be fully confident of its victory in the Padampur bypoll.
“Since a bypoll is over, it’s natural that we discussed it. We are fully confident that we will win this election. We will win by a huge margin,” said senior BJD leader and former Minister Puspendra Singhdeo after a meeting at Naveen Nivas.
The BJD today held a meeting to make an assessment of its position in the Padampur bypoll, the result of which will be declared tomorrow.
BJD organization secretary Pranab Prakash Das, party’s observer for Bargarh Sudhir Samal, Minister Rohit Pujari, party leaders Puspendra Singhdeo and others who were in charge of party’s poll management at Padampur briefed party president Naveen Patnaik about the work done by them at the booth and zone level to ensure party candidate Barsha Singh Bariha’s victory in the bypoll.
