A sailor from Myanmar was rescued by the Indian Coast Guard and admitted to a hospital in Bhubaneswar on Monday morning.
The Coast Guard received information that a sailor from Myanmar was stuck mid-sea in the Bay of Bengal and launched an operation to rescue him. The rescue operation was carried out with the latest light Coast Guard helicopter deployed at the Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar. This was the first time that the indigenously manufactured light helicopter was used in a rescue mission.
