“Actor Ranya Rao Allegedly Earned ₹12 Lakh per Dubai Trip Through Gold Smuggling”

Kannada actress Ranya Rao was arrested on Wednesday at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport for her alleged involvement in a gold smuggling racket. Authorities seized nearly 15 kilograms of gold bars, valued at an estimated Rs12.56 crore, from Rao’s possession. The actress, who reportedly traveled to Dubai 30 times over the past year, is accused of smuggling large amounts of gold during each trip. The gold bars were discovered in her luggage upon her return to India, and her arrest has sent shockwaves through the entertainment and law enforcement communities.

According to sources, Ranya Rao was allegedly paid Rs1 lakh for every kilogram of gold she smuggled, making an estimated Rs 12-13 lakh per trip. Investigators believe that the actress played a significant role in an organized smuggling operation that operated over several months. Rao is the stepdaughter of senior Karnataka IPS officer Ramachandra Rao, and this connection has raised further questions about the extent of the racket. As authorities continue to probe the matter, more details are expected to emerge. The investigation is ongoing, and Rao is facing serious charges related to smuggling and money laundering.
