Renowned for her contentious statements, Maurya was shown in a video asserting that Hinduism is not a religion.
“Brahminism has very deep roots, and it is also the cause of all the differences. Hinduism is merely an illusion; there is no such religion as Hinduism. There is a plot to use the same Brahmin religion as Hinduism in order to ensnare the Dalits, tribal people, and backward citizens of this nation,” he had stated.
