BJP wins majority in Tripura , Nagaland and Meghalaya

In the first round of elections in northeastern states, the BJP and its NDA partners are on track to receive a perfect three out of three votes. In addition to narrow victories in Tripura and Nagaland, it may possibly form government in Meghalaya by reaffirming its alliance with the NPP of chief minister Conrad Sangma.Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, tweeted that Conrad Sagma, the leader of the National People’s Party, has just met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah to ask for his assistance and approval in forming the new administration in Meghalaya.

The BJP won 29 Assembly seats and is in the lead in three more. The Marxist Communist Party of India wins nine parts and takes the lead in two more. Tipra Motha Party is in the lead in one and 12 of the constituencies.
The BJP+ narrowly surpassed the 31-vote majority requirement in Tripura. The Left+ Congress lost ground to the BJP+, which won just 14 seats, ensuring that the BJP assumed power on its own. The Tipra Motha won 13 seats, putting the Left+ Congress behind the BJP. The local BJP leadership kept in touch with the TIPRA Motha and welcomed all of their requests with the exception of the one for “Greater Tipraland,” they said.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) failed on Thursday to hold onto Kasba Peth Assembly seat, its stronghold in Maharashtra’s Pune district, as Congress candidate Ravindra Dhangekar defeated the saffron party’s nominee Hemant Rasane. This was the case in the Chinchwad, Kasba Peth Bypoll Results 2023 of Pune. In the Kasba Peth constituency, the BJP ruled for 28 years.In Chinchwad, the BJP was able to keep its seat as Ashwini Jagtap defeated Nana Kate of the Nationalist Congress Party and the independent Rahul Kalate. The passing of BJP sitting MLAs Mukta Tilak (Kasba Peth) and Laxman Jagtap made elections for both seats necessary (Chinchwad). The election was held on February 26.
