McLaren Automotive, the British luxury supercar manufacturer, has confirmed its impending entry into the major Indian market, the brand’s 41st global territory. McLaren’s arrival in India forms the marque’s global expansion plans and extends the brand’s growing presence in the Asia Pacific region, with the opening of the first retail outlet McLaren Mumbai in October. McLaren will bring its entire Supercar lineup, including the 765LT (coupe and spyder versions), 720S (coupe and spyder versions), and Artura, the marque’s first high-performance hybrid. The McLaren GT, a grand tourer with practical luggage spaces, will also be available for purchase.According to Paul Harris, Managing Director APAC and China, McLaren Automotive, “we welcome Lalit Choudary of McLaren Mumbai to the expanding retailer network here in the Asia Pacific region.” India continues to be an important market for us, with our fans and select clients able to enjoy the best of McLaren in Mumbai. In the near future, we will welcome the all-new high-performance hybrid supercar Artura to India.”Lalit Choudary, McLaren Mumbai, said on the occasion, “It is an honour to be appointed as McLaren Automotive’s first retail partner in India – McLaren Mumbai.” As a globally renowned supercar manufacturer, the McLaren Mumbai retail experience centre provides McLaren customers with an exceptional opportunity to engage with the brand and become a member of the McLaren owner’s community.”McLaren would compete against Lamborghini, Ferrari, and Porsche, all of which have already established themselves in the Indian market for exotic performance cars.
