Today, under the ‘Ama Bus Stand’ initiative, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik opened 21 new bus stations in 13 districts of the state. Along with this, 124 block-level bus stops in 26 districts have also had their foundations erected. The Chief Minister called it a new milestone in the transportation industry and stated that two crore residents of the state will benefit once all of these bus stops are built. All of these bus stops, according to the chief minister, are extremely sophisticated and modern bus stops. It provides amenities for drivers, passengers, and all other bus transportation industry employees. Additionally, the Chief Minister unveiled the smartphone application “Mo Paribahan Seba.”
For a variety of transportation services, he claimed there would be no need to visit government offices. The Su-Bahaka Yojana was started by the Chief Minister to help drivers travel more safely. Under this proposal, 50,000 drivers will receive training. A driving school was opened by the CM at Palur, Ganjam. The Chief Minister suggested that road, traveler, and user safety be given first priority. A strong transportation network, according to the Chief Minister, opens the path for a stronger economy. With decent roads, it is simple to access many institutional services and facilities, like schools, colleges, hospitals, etc. It serves as a catalyst for the development of a vibrant social and economic system.
Tukuni Sahu, the minister of commerce and transportation, stated that under the chief minister’s leadership, the trend of excellent administration has been sustained in the state over the previous 23 years. According to him, efforts are being made in the state to promote air, rail, and road transportation in order to advance communication.
