In a lawsuit concerning the temple’s land assets, the Odisha High Court ruled in favor of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA). The issue included 15 acres of valuable property in Kuntia Maujar, Jatni Tehsil, Khurda district, which the temple management had petitioned for review. The temple administration is dedicated to safeguarding the temple’s land assets in full transparency, according to SJTA Chief Administrator Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee, who praised the court’s ruling. We are dedicated to closely adhering to the Court’s directives, which will establish guidelines for the management of the temple’s land assets in the days ahead, Dr. Padhee stated.
He further underlined that any attempts by special interests to intrude on temple property will not be accepted by the temple management. “Any entrenched individual or organization’s avaricious gaze will not be accepted. According to the Sri Jagannath Temple Act of 1955 and state government policy, the temple’s land would be safeguarded,” he continued. Advocate General Pitambar Acharya made a compelling case for the temple administration in court, while Advocate Anand Chandra Swain represented the temple administration. Dr. Arabinda Kumar Padhee personally made an appearance in court to support the preservation of the temple’s real estate holdings.
