According to preliminary estimates, on Monday, its fourth day, it brought in Rs 24 lakh net in India.
“Bastar serves as a stark reminder of the complexities inherent in the battle against Naxalism, yet falls short of fully exploring the nuances of its subject matter,” the Hindustan Times wrote in its review of the movie. The film feels a little lacking because it refuses to address the murky areas in its story, despite its admirable patriotic enthusiasm and dedication to honouring the sacrifices made by those caught in the crossfire.
