According to news agency ANI, a drone strike on a merchant ship in the Arabian Sea resulted in an explosion and fire. There have been no confirmed deaths on board the vessel. It also stated that there were twenty Indians on the crew and that an Indian Coast Guard ship was approaching the commercial ship. The ship, carrying crude oil, sailed out of a Saudi Arabian port. The merchant ship is in the path of the Coast Guard vessel ICGS Vikram.The strike was not immediately attributed to anyone. According to a US official, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is accused of using drones to target an Israeli-owned cargo ship in the Indian Ocean last month.
