To preserve the grandeur of the Ram Mandir and enhance the visual harmony of its surroundings, the Ayodhya Development Authority (ADA) has enforced strict building height regulations under the Ayodhya Master Plan 2031.
The city has been divided into two zones — Restricted Zone 1 (RTZ-1) and Restricted Zone 2 (RTZ-2). In RTZ-1, which includes key areas such as Ranopali Railway Crossing, Ayodhya Dham Railway Station, Raiganj Road, Rani Bazaar Chowk, and Tapswi Chhavani, buildings cannot exceed a height of 7.5 meters. In RTZ-2, the maximum permissible height is 15 meters.
These rules apply to all constructions in the designated areas, with exceptions made only for religious structures. The ADA has installed public notice boards across Ayodhya to inform citizens and developers about the new regulations.
