Dhenkanal – The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) Dhenkanal observed the fourth day of the nationwide ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ campaign 2025. On this occasion, the institute organized an awareness and cleanliness drive on Saturday near the Shri Siddha Balaram Jew Temple in Dhenkanal. The event was held under the guidance of the institute’s Regional Director, Professor Dr. Anand Pradhan, with active participation from faculty members, students, and staff.
To mark the fourth day of the campaign, an awareness rally was taken out from the institute premises to the Shri Balaram Jew Temple. Students from the Odia and English Journalism departments and the Corporate Communication and Brand Management department joined the rally, raising slogans and carrying placards to sensitize local residents about cleanliness.
Following the rally, participants cleaned the areas surrounding the temple. Organic waste was swept up and disposed of in dustbins, while plastic waste was carefully segregated. Professor Pradhan himself joined in the cleaning efforts and delivered an awareness message to the gathering. Faculty members and staff of the institute actively participated in the program.
