Could you share with us the inspiration behind your solo book “JNU TALES”? What motivated you to write these captivating stories?

Ans: I feel every student has a story of success or a story of bouncing back and taking charge of their life. My student days were the same and while I was a student I noticed there can be a wonderful fiction story around my student days which can be a guide for someone to bounce back in life. JNU TALES is all about studenthood, the fun moments at class ,hostel Life, the challenging phase of building a career or even facing failures and meeting the demands of our parents and family. JNU TALES is my dream work. I made a resolution long back in my college days and it has materialized now after so many years.
As a banker by profession and a life coach and author at heart, how do you manage to balance these diverse roles in your life? How has your banking career influenced your writing and coaching?
Ans: Banking is a profession for me and I do have a lot of respect for it. But in the initial phase the banking job was so challenging for me. But later it became a platform for learning and it made me more efficient and taught me how to use time wisely. All these learnings made me better at managing my time and skills and so I was able to devote my time to what I love, which is adding value in people’s life by my books and guiding them in whatever way possible. Covid time was a boon for me when the official timings of the bank were relaxed and I was able to complete the ICF LIFE COACH training along with that time which helped me complete my first book 30 Edutainment Articles You Will Ever Need For Enlightenment. People do loved this self help book and this motivated me to write my fiction novel JNU TALES. I am single so I don’t have that huge family responsibilities along with that my parents always support me to write and share whatever experience and knowledge I have. So in the weekends I managed to write and complete JNU TALES.
“30 Edutainment Articles You Will Ever Need For Enlightenment” is an Amazon bestseller.
Can you tell us more about the themes and ideas covered in the book and how it has impacted readers’ lives?
Ans: As a newbie I was first very confused about what to write first. I had in my mind the structure of JNU TALES. But during the covid phase I noticed people facing mindset issues due to lifestyle changes and other challenges in professional life. This motivated me to write 30 Edutainment Articles . I felt just a little mindfulness can help change the whole situation. So I carefully picked thirty chapters which can help people manage all their aspects of life. I wrote it in very simple words and the core of the book was to get better results by doing less. I humbly shared the simple tips that can make life easier and can bring more fulfillment. My friends loved that book along with that some students too got some learnings from it. I got some emails and amazon reviews too which helped people in getting more organised and developing some good habits.
Your mission is to guide more and more people towards positive emotions and happiness. How do you approach life coaching and what techniques do you use to help individuals achieve their personal growth and fulfillment?
Ans: Everyone has their own definition of life and success, so their happiness and emotions are unique. But there are some things that are the core and basics of a happy life. Like eating healthy and working out for a healthy body and practicing mindfulness, staying away from social media and meditation for a healthy mind and investing time and effort for better relationships. I feel there is no complex mantra to make life happy, it’s very simple to be happy and peaceful. But due to the “noise” that surrounds us, it makes us think that our life is complex while it is not. This is the reason people rather practicing simple things get attracted towards fancy and complex things to make life better. Coaching has helped me find my purpose and the reason why I am there. I think everyone should get trained in whatever field they love and like to get better results. And in this digital world there are so many online platforms to guide and coach you. But first and foremost Love Yourself and pay gratitude, then start your journey for success or coaching or being coached.
You are a certified ICF Life Coach and NLP practitioner. How have these certifications enhanced your abilities as a life coach, and how do you incorporate these techniques into your coaching sessions?
Ans: Being a certified ICF LIFE COACH helped me be more aware about my inner calling. I feel I am good at guiding people, like in school and college days I was very good at teaching my younger siblings and getting their school projects done. I was very good at painting and writing and my creative thinking had helped me guide my friends when they were in any trouble. But I never thought that I can be certified as a life coach and be more aware about it to help people more effectively. ICF LIFE COACH training helped me sharpen my skills and be more aware about my inner calling. And it gave me a clear purpose. Why am I there!
Nature seems to hold a special place in your heart. How does your love for nature influence your writing and coaching? Do you use nature-based techniques to help individuals connect with themselves and find inner peace?
Ans: Nature is a big healer and it helps us connect with our inner self too. I feel working in an environment full of greens helps improve our focus and productivity. Even being close to nature can help build a more peaceful mind to face challenges and live happily. But due to the busy schedule and the modern ways of life people are getting away from nature. But still there is a hack at weekends or once or twice in a year one can plan a trip to a place filled with nature and can get their better version nourished. While I was editing JNU TALES I went to a nearby resort in Guwahati for three days which was surrounded by mountains and lake fresh Breeze and bright clear sky. They had a hut kind of dining area and I just spend my day time there and the uninterrupted time and nature helped me edit and redo JNU TALES.
You are an avid diarist. How has journaling impacted your life, and do you recommend it as a tool for personal development to others?
Ans: Yes there is a quote which says ” think on paper” We live in a distracted world and so we forget how to be thankful and how to pay gratitude for whatever we have. Writing a diary or journaling brings lots of clarity. It helps us declutter our mind and think straight about life and for solutions. My story of writing a diary started when I was in college because my seniors used to tell me that the world outside the college is very difficult and hard so cherish the college days moments. That hit me hard and I thought I should write a diary daily and be thankful for whatever I have in my life. And later it became my habit and it also boosted my writing skills and creative thinking.
With your experience as an Assistant Manager at Bank of Baroda, how do you find the synergy between your banking career and your passion for writing and coaching? Have there been any lessons from banking that you’ve applied to your other pursuits?
Ans: Banking is a lucrative job there is no doubt in it. But there is a difference about what you do as a profession or what you do as your passion. I enjoy a banking career too but it doesn’t resonate with my inner self. So I got myself trained as a Life Coach and started writing books to add value in people’s lives. Writing and guiding gives me a deep sense of accomplishment and happiness. Banking has made me a good listener because in customer dealing we have to be very patient and calm in dealing with them. Along with that, banking has helped me develop problem solving skills. These skills are essential for a life coach.
Could you share some of the most significant challenges you faced in your journey as an author and life coach? How did you overcome them, and what lessons did you learn along the way?
Ans: Managing my emotions and being grounded was the most important learning I got in my banking career and my training as a Life Coach. I read lots of self help books and did lots of webinars that help me build good habits and manage my emotions well.
Apart from your solo book, are there any upcoming writing projects or coaching programs you would like to share with your audience?
Ans: Yes I am planning to write a book on Neuro linguistic program which is in short NLP. NLP can help you build your dream life and can help you be on the track for success. NLP is all about mindfulness and making your happy version a reality.
Your academic background includes a doctorate from JNU. How has this educational journey shaped your perspective on life, writing, and coaching?
Ans: My research work has helped me in reading fast and developing writing skills. Because writing a thesis is a time consuming thing and you need to read a lot to write a thesis. A doctorate also helps you build critical thinking and write in creative ways. So of course a doctorate from JNU helped me in my author’s journey a lot. And being a doctorate from JNU also makes us confident.
As an accomplished author and life coach, what advice would you give to aspiring writers and individuals seeking personal growth and self-improvement?
Ans: I will advise you to just write with your heart. Follow your own unique style and it’s not always mandatory to follow trends. Before writing on any self help or any other specific skill do read a lot to give your best. Use social media to reach more and more people. Most importantly follow whatever you write that will make a huge impact and give amazing satisfaction too. Believe in yourself and keep it real. My best wishes to all the budding authors and may you shine and smile always.
Are there any specific themes or messages you try to convey through your writing? What impact do you hope your books and coaching sessions will have on your readers and clients?
Ans: First of all remain focused on your subject matter or whatever book you are writing. Do your reading and research and first of all make the structure of the book or in simple words write the chapters. Then the next step is what you will write or explain in those chapters. Write it point vise. Lastly, write according to this structure or frame. It will help you complete more and you will not get confused. There are kindle editions too which are for free. If you feel publishing is costly, go for the free version of kindle and get your book published.
Your credentials as a banker, life coach, and author are impressive. How do you envision your future, and what legacy would you like to leave through your work and contributions to society?
Ans: I think Everyone is so unique and special so they have to build and design their life as per their choice. Work hard to make your dream life become a reality. I feel people are getting more attracted towards material things, it’s fine but don’t get crazy about it. Live gracefully and always pay gratitude for whatever you have. Change your perspective about challenges because there is no growth without a challenge. Always remember life is beautiful and problems are there to make you stronger. Always try learning new things. It can be cooking, painting or anything you like because these creative things really add spark in life. Stay blessed!!
Are there any specific authors, mentors, or life experiences that have profoundly influenced your writing style and coaching approach? How have they shaped your journey?
Ans: If I talk about style then I will say I just write with heart. Whatever comes to my heart I write. I feel I should write so that people may learn and make their life better. I read so many self help books and biographies and they gave me lots of learnings. My most favourite books are The power of now, The Secret, Secret of limitless mind and many more…
I have my own life experiences too that help me in writing, I am very careful in choosing my words so that the readers don’t get hurt in any way. This can sound weird but that’s what I feel while writing anything.
