Q1) Since when did you start having interest in writing? Tell us something about your writing journey.

Ans: When the lockdown hit, it was the time when you actually got the feeling that seemed like you were trapped at the place even though it felt fun at times. But the feeling that resonated that time just felt like something I could write down. I started writing poems and stories then. I never thought this would be something I really enjoyed and thought that I could do something in this. But this journey where you are the one creating the story, expressing your feelings and beginning a new journey is incredible.
Q2) How did the idea of “On the Chase” come to your mind. Tell us more about the plot of the book. Also share the link of the book.

Ans: If we see the form perspective of our evolving world, competition, hypocrisy, betrayal, happiness, sadness is all a part of it. I tried to include all these topics into a story involving that what a person can do if it has that power to control. I had just came back from my school that day and I sat down just to think about this, that was when this idea popped up in my head. The plot is basically something that would twist the building-up story and would trigger the readers to start thinking in new direction. So, I basically went with what was the least expected part. I wanted the reader to bring that feeling of continuing and have that urge to know the ending, that enthusiasm to carry own.

Q3) Tell us something about your hobbies.

Ans: I mostly keep myself engaged in a thing or other. So, I tend to learn more things I enjoy. I like to paint and to play my guitar. These two things are like therapy to me. I enjoy solving puzzles and cubes which helps me think broader. I like challenges I get while solving the cubes and create that enduring feeling to just continuing. I also like reading. I read mainly fiction and mystery. Reading fiction makes me enter a whole different world from the reality and seeing the world from the author’s perspective.
Q4) From preparing the draft of the book, to selecting the cover page to publishing it, it is a process that requires total scrutiny and involvement. Tell us about your experience and were there any hardships that you faced in the process?
Ans: The process of writing, re-thinking, changes, challenges, plots and publishing is just like a journey of climbing a mountain. The start of the hike seems pretty simple, just like the starting of the story. As you rise up, you drive into the story. When you are three fourth of the way up, you start facing those hardships and difficulties just like when we are preparing the reader to just turn their slates. And when you are at the top of the mountains, you start to see things much clearly. There is that relief of accomplishment. Similarly, when you finish writing you now have created something. The process was honestly much smoother than I thought it would be. I had created many drafts of my book just for the starting. It took me days to decide what the starting should be. What would create that magnet to attract people. Apart from that, I gave time till when I got the idea for the next part of my story. Other than that, I enjoyed that feeling of every moment living in the mind, eyes and soul of the protagonist.
Q5) There is a large section of the youth who thinks of writing their solo book but lack the courage to do so. What is your advice to them?
Ans: My only advice to the youth who wants to write their book is, just go for it. It hardly matters if someone will like it or not. You should just write whatever comes in your mind. Just pen down the thoughts roaming in your mind. It itself is a great satisfaction to write something. I advise the writer to let their feelings flow with what they like the best.
