India will continue to oppose the extreme Khalistan movement globally notwithstanding Trudeau’s slander campaign

The Indian national security apparatus will continue to oppose the Khalistan cause despite Trudeau’s unfounded accusation over the killing of Nijjar. It has been 17 days since Prime Minister Justin Trudeau spoke before the Canadian Parliament to accuse the Narendra Modi administration of ordering the extrajudicial execution of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar of the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) on June 18 in Surrey, British Columbia. On the first day, the Modi administration dismissed the charge and demanded that Trudeau present legal proof to support the purportedly “credible allegations.”

As time goes on, it becomes increasingly obvious that Trudeau is a fervent supporter of the Khalistan movement and intentionally falsely accused the Modi administration in order to malign India and lump it in with other dictatorial regimes. While no Pakistani Prime Minister has expressed such support for the Khalistan movement in the National Assembly, Trudeau’s accusation against India was meant to ensure that Indian operatives face international scrutiny and find it challenging to conduct business in Anglo-Saxon nations.

The fact that Sikh For Justice convenor Gurupatwant Singh Pannu was unable to be found during the three days that PM Modi was in the US in June was quite a clear indication that the Five Eyes alliance had clout with the Khalistani fanatics. Pannu, who was deeply involved in Gurudwara politics and radicalised Sikh youth in an effort to get them political refuge, was a significant supporter of Nijjar and had connections to extremists in Pakistan and Europe. The Indian national security establishment, however, is unconcerned by Trudeau’s false accusations and is adamant that it will oppose the extreme Khalistan movement globally while adhering to international law. The establishment will continue to take action against Khalistani radicals if they pose a threat to either Indian assets overseas or in India, since the Modi government had nothing to do with the shooting death of Nijjar.
