NDA Sets Target Of 225 Seats For 2025 Bihar Assembly Election

The NDA has set a goal of 225 seats for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections, according to the state presidents of the five parties that make up the coalition on Monday. In order to improve coordination among party members down to the booth level, the Bihar NDA, which consists of the BJP, JDU, HAM, LJP Ram Vilas, and Rashtriya Lok Morcha, has also declared a coordinated campaign that would run from January 15 to February 25 of next year. The state presidents of the five constituent parties emphasized the need of unity among their cadres at a meeting at the Karpoori Auditorium of the JD-U headquarters.

On January 15, the combined campaign will begin in Bagaha and spread throughout the entire state over the next six weeks. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s meeting at his home served as the impetus for the campaign, which highlights the alliance’s emphasis on a unified approach to achieving their aggressive seat objective for the next elections.

Raju Tiwari, the state president of LJP (Ram Vilas), said, “The campaign emphasises that the time remaining before the elections is limited and this initiative will enhance worker coordination.” The NDA leaders aim to replicate and surpass their 2010 performance when the alliance won 206 seats. They believe they can achieve this target as public trust remains strong in Nitish Kumar’s leadership.

Programs at the district level will feature a half-hour short film as part of the campaign, which is set to run from January 15 to February 25. In order to appeal to the younger voting base, the movie will depict Bihar’s pre-2005 status under RJD leadership and compare it with advancements after that year.
