The 5T initiative initiatives are transforming the Baramunda Bus Terminal. On orders from the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Secretary CM (5T) VK Pandian visited the still-under-construction Interstate Bus Terminal at Baramunda today in the afternoon to assess the status of this work.

Notably, Baramunda Bus Terminal is Odisha’s first top-notch transportation facility. It can accommodate 2000 buses per day and has all current amenities. At a cost of Rs 180 crore, the terminal is being constructed over an area of 11 acres, with an additional 4 acres of land available for development in the future. There will include a food court, an elevator, an abundance of parking spaces, and a pick-up and drop-off area for travelers. Additionally, there will be services for pre-paid taxis, autorickshaws, and cab aggregators like Ola and Uber. Solar energy will be used to power the whole terminal.

Additionally, it contains a waste water treatment system and WiFi. There will also be an Aahar Plus facility established for the use of the travelers. Additionally, steps will be done to relocate the vendors that had to move in order to convert the bus station.
