‘No One Is Above Law’, Delhi Court Seeks Honey Singh’s Medical Report In Domestic Violence Case

Honey Singh failed to appear before Delhi Court on August 28, in the domestic violence case filed against him by his wife and his counsel cited health-related issues as the reason for his absence.

According to the reports, this is the second time that the singer has missed a court hearing. The Delhi Court has now ordered Honey Singh to appear before it on the next date of hearing, on September 3 and stated that the stern message of “no one is above the law”.

On August 3, Hirdesh Singh AKA Yo Yo Honey Singh’s wife Shalini Talwar filed a domestic violence case at Delhi’s Tiz Hazari Court against him. She has alleged sexual violence, mental harassment, cheating and financial fraud against him. To which the singer issued an official statement on social media, refusing all the allegations and called it false and malicious.

He quoted- “I have never issued a public statement or press note in the past despite being subjected to harsh criticism for my lyrics, speculation on my health, & negative media coverage in general. However, I see no merit in maintaining a studied silence this time because some of the allegations have been directed at my family my old parents and younger sister who have stood by me during some very difficult and trying times and comprise my world. The allegations are cynical and defaming in nature .”
