In partnership with the State Electronics and IT Department, the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), India’s leading IT industry association, today hosted the Bhubaneswar edition of its premier event, the NSSCOM Technology Confluence (NTC)-2024.
Speaking during the inauguration session, E&IT Minister Mukesh Mahaling said, “Odisha’s achievements are the result of proactive leadership, sturdy governance, and a commitment to the well-being and prosperity of the people.”
Odisha has made sure that growth permeates all aspect of life by embracing a spirit of progress while maintaining its traditions. He said that because of this strategy, the State is now a shining example of inclusive and sustainable growth in India. With the statement, “Odisha is putting a strong emphasis on fields such as artificial intelligence (AI) and semiconductor design to drive economic growth and improve lives,” Principal Secretary, E&IT Department Vishal Dev emphasized the significance of new technologies in fostering the state’s IT growth.
According to him, the State is actively developing programs and policies to promote creativity and establish itself as a pioneer in these game-changing fields. A wide range of topics were covered in the panel discussions and fireside chats, including the significance and ramifications of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) and quantum computing, the growing importance of data governance and cyber security, the need for innovation in the semiconductor industry, the role of FinTech GCCs in accelerating innovation, the role of technology in mining and manufacturing, strategies to improve industry-academia collaboration, Odisha’s start-up landscape, and data science.
The fact that NTC is being held in Bhubaneswar is evidence of the city’s rise to prominence as one of India’s leading IT centers, demonstrating its development as a hub for innovation, technology, and business leadership. The city’s potential as a center for software development, IT services, and semiconductor breakthroughs has been highlighted by the focus on Bhubaneswar’s IT environment. Bhubaneswar is ideally situated to draw in multinational corporations and support innovation-driven sectors because to its strong infrastructure, technical readiness, and strategic linkage.
Chennai, Kochi, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Coimbatore, Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, and the National Capital Region are among the ten cities that will be covered by the multi-city NTC, which began on November 6 and will conclude on November 26.It serves as a forum for IT enthusiasts, business executives, and visionaries to get together and discuss the newest developments in the IT sector.
