The state government of Odisha signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CK-12 Foundation, a prominent non-profit education technology group, in a major move to change the state’s educational system. At the Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, Shalini Pandit, the Commissioner-turned-Secretary of the School & Mass Education Department, and Neeru Khosla, the CK-12 Foundation’s founder and executive director, signed the agreement. Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja graced the function with his presence.
The partnership seeks to give teachers, students, and educational institutions throughout Odisha access to top-notch resources. Modern content and technological tools will be freely accessible through the CK-12 Foundation, which is well-known for its goal of providing worldwide access to high-quality K–12 education. With the help of these tools, educators and learners will be empowered to try out a variety of learning methods, materials, and skills.
At the core of this effort is artificial intelligence (AI), which is transforming education by providing individualized learning opportunities. Content will be tailored by AI-powered tools to each student’s needs and speed, improving comprehension and retention. AI will help instructors by streamlining administrative duties like class preparation, attendance tracking, and grading, freeing them up to concentrate more on mentoring and student involvement.
Additionally, educators will be able to identify learning gaps and customize solutions for kids who are suffering with the use of AI-driven data. Odisha children can learn at their own pace thanks to the CK-12 Foundation’s platform, which also offers offline accessibility and information customized for different courses. It is anticipated that this program would close educational inequalities, advance equity, and give educators the tools they need to improve their teaching.
