The “Make-in-Odisha Conclave 2022” kicked off with a “bhumi pujan” ceremony conducted at Janata Maidan, where the event would take place from November 30 to December 4. The event signaled the beginning of the construction phase for the infrastructure and location of the premier biannual mega industrial carnival. The five-day celebration will be launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Three nations, Japan, Germany, and Norway, have already committed to cooperating with FICCI on the investment summit. Considering the reaction from international investment meetings, additional nations are anticipated to attend.
Hemant Sharma, the principal secretary of industries, stated that the entire 20,000 square meter Janata Maidan will be transformed into a cutting-edge event space with an exhibition centre, a plenary hall, five-session halls, a chief minister’s lounge, VIP lounge, and a grand stage for cultural events in addition to a designated media lounge.
Additionally, the arena will have six pods showcasing Odisha’s culture, tradition, and industrial might, as well as two enormous anamorphic screens. According to him, registration for the conclave has already started.
The chief minister will hold a plenary session with CXOs and business executives from all around the nation as planned. The plenary session will be followed by presentations on business leadership in the sessional halls and a session on “Start-Up Odisha” in the plenary hall.
On December 2, talks on “Metal Downstream” will take place in the plenary hall after the session on “Skilled-in-Odisha,” while other sectoral conversations on chemicals and petrochemicals, textiles and apparel, mining, food processing, and IT/ITeS will take place in the session halls.
On December 3, significant topic sessions will be held on women’s SHGs and school reform in Odisha. Sectoral seminars on new industries such as biotechnology, the circular economy, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and defense and aviation will be held concurrently.
