Across 30 districts in Odisha projects in 4664 schools were permitted. The approval was made final during the 21st Executive Council meeting of the ‘Mo School Campaign’ where the meeting was chaired by Principal Secretary of School & Mass Education Department Satyabrata Sahoo.
In the press release, it informed that last month around 74,000 alumni had contributed 10.85 crores for these projects and the amount includes Rs 3.32 crore by the alumni in Balasore, Rs 1.90 crore in Keonjhar, Rs 70.96 lakh in Bhadrak, Rs 44.93 lakh in Puri, and Rs 38.91 lakh in Sambalpur.
During the meeting, it was stated that as of now around 8083 projects have been completed and work on 1628 projects is on processing condition. As per the official reports over 3.60 lakh, alumni have registered the Mo School Campaign, and around 22,000 schools across all districts have been brought under the Mo School Campaign.
The alumni have provided around Rs 30 crore as their contributing share by January 20 even during the Corinavirus crises pandemic.
Under the School & Mass Education Department, a special cell has been established as it will help to stimulate further the ‘School Adoption’ programme under the Mo School Campaign. In fact, for further strengthening of the project monitoring unit of Mo School so that it will execute the School Adoption campaign for highlights were targeted.
