Soon after Pop star Rihanna’s Tweet on the ongoing protest of Farmers, there was huge outrage regarding the tweet where some support the singer while others came in against it.
As per the news reports it is claimed that the singer was paid around 2.5 million dollars to tweet in favour of the ongoing protest of farmers. After which Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who seems to comment on each and every issue reacted and expressed her shock and also took a dig at the International pop singer quoting the amount as ‘So Little’.
As per a report the Print Justice Foundation (PJF) Rihanna was allegedly paid $2.5 million by a Public Relations firm with alleged Khalistani links. Mo Dhaliwal, the founder of the Canada-based Poetic Justice Foundation (PJF) that also created the controversial ‘toolkit’ tweeted by Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg, is one of the Directors of the PR firm in question – Skyrocket.
Others linked to Skyrocket include Marina Patterson, a PR professional who is currently on the radar of Indian agencies for stoking the farmers’ agitation, Anita Lal, director of the Canada-based World Sikh Organisation, and co-founder of PJF, and Canadian parliamentarian Jagmeet Singh.
The Print also quoted that the Tweet by social activist Greta Thunberg was also a part of a larger conspiracy to create disharmony in India.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah had stated that there is no propaganda and can deter India’s unity or stop the country from attaining new heights as several of his ministerial colleagues as well as Bollywood celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Kangna Ranaut and Ajay Devgn and filmmaker Karan Johar urged people to be wary of false propaganda.
Rihanna who is a pop sensation in the west has 101 million followers on Twitter, shared a CNN news article headlined, “India cuts internet around New Delhi as protesting farmers clash with police” where she quoted by – “Why aren’t we talking about this? #FarmersProtest,”.
Greta Thunberg also took to Twitter to say, “We stand in solidarity with the #FarmersProtest in India.” In a fresh tweet on Wednesday, she also shared “a toolkit for those who want to help”.
