A PART OF INDIAN CULTURAL DIASPORA
Bowing to them: We revere these female deities because they mean so much to us! They represent our existence, our very life, birthed through their divinity! We bow to them for they give us energy to live our lives!
Standing and admiring: We stand and admire the deities during the Navratras, Durga and Kali Pujas and many other instances during the year. For many, it’s a daily ritual of invoking their blessings through prayers, chants and remembering the female deities when in times of solitude.
Divine Interventions Needed: The beautiful, enterprising and blessings-abundant deities remind us that what we see around in terms of oppression and haggling isn’t a true representation of our societies, which have been marred by incompetence, insipidity and jangled memories. Praying to the Mother Divine and her Incarnations gives us the strength to be a saviour and emboldens the women in our lives to find their path of rich pursuits.
Female Deities, Divinity and Respect:
The female deities are an order of calm in the world that has some deceitful edges, and dark-hearted individuals who compromise peace in our lives. Chanting our strotas and singing praises through bhajans gives us hope that our female deities will power our outlook towards:
1. Seeking peace and happiness
2. Respecting all genders and being enablers
3. Becoming societal change agents and using the bestowed wisdom in the right direction
For millions like me; women, men and others alike, praying to the female deities is a reminder about different opinions and united outcomes that make us believe that femininity and masculinity will coexist peacefully for generations!
Hail the female deities and the Mother Divine, who shower their blessings on us!
Love, affection, respect, divine interventions and positivity that bind our relationship with the respected Mother forever!
