A “summit” for a new mahagatbandhan is currently being held in Bengaluru by nearly all of India’s major opposition political parties, including the PDP of Kashmir, the DMK of Tamil Nadu, the JDU of Bihar, the TMC of Bengal, and even the AAP of Delhi. The opposition is preparing for the 2024 general election with a two-day mega gathering, the second of its type after Bihar in June. They believe that the NDA’s rule has already begun with the BJP’s defeat in Karnataka.
However, it’s interesting to note that, following the announcement of the opposition conference, leaders from 38 parties will join the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) meeting, which will be held in Delhi on Tuesday. The storyline for the Lok Sabha elections in 2024 might be established on Tuesday. Determining the specifics of seat-sharing and achieving better cooperation and communication are the main items on the agenda for the opposition. The BJP is seeking to keep its current allies and gain new ones in order to make up for the anticipated loss in the number of seats it won the last time around. Additionally, it aims to dispel the notion that the party doesn’t regard its allies highly enough.
Congressman Jairam Ramesh remarked, “After the Patna meeting, where 24 parties attended, the PM suddenly thought of the NDA,” while speaking to a press conference in the capital of Karnataka. The NDA is being attempted to be given fresh life. Suddenly, it was announced that tomorrow’s NDA meeting had been called. This is the outcome of the Patna meeting.
Attacking the opposition, Nadda claimed that the United Progressive Alliance (UPA), which is governed by the Congress, is rife with “corruption and scams” and lacks “neither intention, nor policy, nor power to take decisions.”
