Rehab professionals are actively involved in choosing the best sort of rehabilitative management options for individual with various diseases & disorders for all age group like Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, ADHD, ADD, CP, DSL, ISL, Osteoarthritis, NLD, Aphasia, Dysarthria, etc. Several Rehab professionals of different streams are involved in the assessment as well as management with collective knowledge of Speech therapy, Physio Therapy, occupational therapy, Special Education, DIagnostic Audiology and patients who might benefit from one or multiple intervention strategies. So all play a vital role in the decision-making process. This knowledge is necessary for appropriate and effective casting or intervention of persons with disabilities.
Today we are in a conversation with Dr. Krushnendu Sundar Sahoo, BASLP, CNCC, MD(NY)
Dr. Krushnendu was born in Keonjhar, Odisha, and is a graduate of Medical Science from Utkal University. His residency was at Jajpur, Odisha and he completed his training with a fellowship in balance and vertigo from AIB, Florida University, USA.

Dr. Krushnendu has 10 years of experience in Speech, Hearing, and balance with a special interest in Paediatric Audiology, Industrial Audiology, Balance Audiology, Childhood speech-language disorder, Voice disorder, and fluency disorder. He is the Founder and Director of Rehabscape Health Care Pvt Ltd.
In addition to his clinical practice, he is also associated with various NGOs providing services to underprivileged and deprived people in society.
He is a member of the Rehabilitation Council of India, a member of the Naturopathy and Yogic Science Association of India, and a member of the American Institute of Balance. Dr. Sahoo currently working as a guest consultant ASLP at Sparsh Hospital, Kar Hospital, Sunshine Hospital, Blue wheel Hospital
He has contributed to numerous research studies in the field of speech and hearing. Dr. Sahoo has published many original research articles in both National and International repute indexed journals.
He has conducted several speech and hearing camps in the far-flung areas of eastern India and Odisha and provided free services to the needy. Presently Dr. Krushnendu is associated with several colleges and training institutions in Odisha, which are providing vocational training for speech, hearing, and language disorder people.

His vision for Odisha is to build the state of art rehabilitation facility centre for the persons with disabilities (PWDs) and mainstreaming of them. His current concern is to provide world class rehabilitation services and/or assistance to the needy (PWDs). He believes in healthy professional practice and quality services at reasonable/affordable rate. New treatment modalities or treatment techniques and professional skills are very important, and efficient professionals should be involved says Dr. Sahoo.
