Doctors are an essential part of our healthcare system because they help people and communities maintain their health and well-being. They are highly skilled specialists with a focus on identifying, managing, and avoiding diseases and injuries. Their work needs both technical prowess and empathy for their patients, and they operate in a range of settings, including hospitals, clinics, private practises, and research centres. Doctors play a vital role in our society by giving communities and individuals essential medical treatment. We can all live healthier and happier lives with the assistance of their commitment, knowledge, and compassion.

The oath taking ceremony of SCB Medical College Student Parliament 2022-23 has been held this evening. As the chief guest, Subash Chandra Parija administered the oath to the newly elected President of the Student Parliament,  Mr. Omm Swayam Prakash Routray

Dr. Satyajit Mohanty, the chairman of the OPSC, spoke as the keynote speaker and emphasised the importance of doctors in society. always praised medical professionals for their work during tragedies like Covid.

The Dean and Principal of the Institute Prof. Dr. Prasenjeet  Mohanty and the Adviser of the Student Parliament Prof. Dr. Bana Bihari Mishra congratulated the newly elected members and encouraged them to work together for the betterment of the Institute.

Prof. Dr. Jayant Kumar Panda, Prof. Dr. Sarada Prassana Swain , Prof. Dr. Vijaya Kumar Behera, Prof. Dr. Jayshree Mohanty, Prof. Dr. Smita Mohapatra, Prof. Dr. Santhirekha Swain , Prof. Dr. Devprasad Mohanty attended and concluded the program. In this program, a beautiful music was performed by the student parliament. An interesting video was shown of the vice chairpersons of various societies and the newly elected members of the student parliament.

In the end, Mr. Bibhas kumar sahu , General Editor of Student Parliament, thanked all the guests and all the students present.
