West Indies won the opening game with 88 balls remaining and the three-game series with one ball remaining.After giving the UAE a target of 307 and then limiting the host team to 228 for 7 in 50 overs in Game 2 on Tuesday night, West Indies won the first game with 88 balls to spare and won the three-game series with one to spare.Johnson Charles helped the West Indies get off to a strong start by smashing eight boundaries and three sixes on his way to 63 from 47 deliveries. He and Brandon King had a 129-run opening stand until Charles was caught off the bowling of Ali Naseer in the 17th over.
King led the scoring for West Indies with 64 runs from 70 deliveries, while Keacy Carty (32), Hope (23) and Kavem Hodge (26) chipped in with runs in the middle. Odean Smith scored 37 runs off of 24 deliveries before being bowled by Zahoor Khan (3-44) to end the innings in 49.5 overs with the score at 306.At the end of the 14th over, UAE was 52-3 after losing wickets in the fourth and ninth overs.In addition to helping the home team bat through all 50 overs, Basil Hameed (49), Ali Naseer (57 from 53 balls), and Vriitra Avarind (36), who survived early pressure to accumulate 36.
 In order to give both teams more time to prepare for the World Cup qualifying campaign in Zimbabwe, which begins on June 18, the third game is set for Friday in Sharjah.
