75th Independence Day: PM Modi Unfurls Tricolour At Red Fort , Some Key Points From His Speech

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Unfurled The Tricolour To Mark The Nation’s 75th Independence Day At The Historic Red Fort following which the National Anthem was played and The Indian Air Force (IAF) Threw Flowers From The Sky.

Delhi’s Red Fort, From Where Prime Minister Unfurls The National Flag And Address The Nation, Has Been Decorated With Colorful Flowers And Numerous National Flags Across The Premises. While extending greetings, PM Modi stated that ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ will infuse new energy and new consciousness among the countrymen. In his official tweet, he quoted “Greetings to you all on Independence Day. May this year of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ infuse new energy and new consciousness among the countrymen. Jai Hind!.”

According to the reports the Prime Minister paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat before addressing the nation at the Red Fort in Delhi. He said – “I would like to begin by conveying greetings on this special occasion of Independence Day. This is a day to remember our great freedom fighters.”

The report further added that PM Modi lauds personalities who have contributed to the freedom struggle of India and also thanked the Covid warriors who have fought against the pandemic bravely. “Doctors, nurses, paramedical staff, sanitation workers, scientists and the citizens who were working with a sense of service – all those who devoted every moment to serve others in this period, deserve applause,” the PM says.

Further, he urged the nation to applaud the achievement of the athletes who have made India proud at the Tokyo Olympics.  He then said that a decision has been taken to observe August 14 as Partition Horrors Remembrance Day, to honour the pain and sufferings faced by the people of India during the partition. He stated that Indians have fought against the pandemic with a lot of patience and we had many challenges but we worked with extraordinary pace in every area and it’s a result of the strength of our industrialists & scientists, that today India doesn’t need to depend on any other nation for vaccines.


Further PM Modi said “ ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayaas (Cooperation, development, trust and effort put by all )’ is very important for the achievement of all our goals.  Delimitation Commission has been constituted in Jammu and Kashmir and preparations are on for assembly elections in the future.”

PM Modi later added that in the coming day’s PM Gati Shakti Plan, a 100 lakh crore national infrastructure master plan will be launched, which will make a foundation for holistic infrastructure and give an integrated pathway to our economy. He also announced that 75 Vande Bharat trains will connect every corner of India in 75 weeks of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.


“Today, we have to pledge to make India energy independent before completing 100 years of independence. India has moved towards electric mobility and work is underway on 100% electrification of Indian Railways with the aim to becoming net-zero carbon emitter by the year 2030,” the PM added at the Red Fort.

He further announced the National Hydrogen Mission in view of climate change. He stressed the importance of making India a hub for the production and export of Green Hydrogen. “By conducting surgical strikes and airstrikes, we have given a message of the emergence of a new India to our enemies. It also conveys that India can take tough decisions,” he concluded.
