Government prohibits 14 mobile applications used by terrorist organizations

14 mobile messaging services that were reportedly being utilized by terrorist groups, several of which were situated in Jammu and Kashmir, have been stopped by the Indian government.

According to sources, the restricted applications are Crypviser, Enigma, Safeswiss, Wickrme, Mediafire, Briar, BChat, Nandbox, Conion, IMO, Element, Second Line, Zangi, and Threema.

According to the sources, the decision was reportedly made based on information provided by intelligence agencies.

According to sources, these apps were disabled in accordance with Section 69A of the Information Technology Act of 2000.
