Northwest India will see rain for the next four days

After stagnating for the previous 11 days at a remote island, the monsoon rains from India have now spread into a few more areas of the southwest Bay of Bengal.The Indian Meteorological Department predicted on Tuesday that rainfall and thunderstorm activity will likely persist over Northwest India for the next four days. It is highly possible that Northwest India will see scattered to moderately widespread rains with thunderstorms, lightning, and sporadic winds at 40–50 kmph with gusts to 60 kmph through Thursday. Additionally, the weather agency foresaw isolated hailstorms over Rajasthan today, over Himachal Pradesh through June 1, and over Uttarakhand through June 2.

As the IMD forecast called for severe rains today in remote areas of Rajasthan, Udaipur experienced dramatic changes in the weather that included high winds and dark clouds in the evening. Tomorrow, there will be significant rainfall in remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir as well.According to the Srinagar meteorological centre, J&K has mostly gloomy and rainy weather.According to deputy director of MeT Mukhtar Ahmad, the same weather pattern is anticipated to continue in J&K through June 2.
“Over upper areas of the Kupwara, Bandipora, or Sonamarg-Zojila axis, there is a risk of light snowfall. The same can be stated for Mughal Road and Sinthan Pass, according to him.
