On Monday, Kuldeep Singh took over as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of HIL India Limited after being approved by the PESB panel. With effect from August 7, Kuldeep Singh has taken over as the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of HIL (India) Limited. He was Senior General Manager of National Seeds Corporation (NSC) before this.Singh has been nominated to the position for a term of five years, or until the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to an official order from the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers. Susanta Kumar Purohit, Joint Secretary of the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC), who was given the additional responsibility.
Singh has a degree in commerce (B. Com., M.A.) and is a holder of the Delhi School of Economics’ Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Management (PGDIM). He has extensive expertise in the agriculture (seed) industry spanning more than 28 years, managing a variety of portfolios and divisions, including Head of Marketing at SFCI from 1001 to 2014 and Head of Production at NSC from 2014 to 21.
