Hema Malini Likely To Hit Election Campaign Trail In Odisha

Hema Malini, the “Dream Girl,” is probably going to run for office in Odisha. It was made clear on Tuesday when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) unveiled their updated roster of prominent campaigners. Rather than Jyotiraditya Scindia, she is on the party’s list of celebrity campaigners. The current MP from Mathura, Hema Malini, is expected to visit Odisha, however the BJP state wing has not yet disclosed the exact date of her visit.

In addition to Hema Malini, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and Nitin Gadkari will visit Odisha to step up campaigning ahead of elections. May 8 is the day that Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai is slated to visit Odisha, while Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is also expected to visit the state and attend a public gathering in Rayagada. Additionally, Sai will speak at public gatherings on May 8 and May 9, respectively, in Koraput and Nabarangpur.

On May 9, Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, will travel to Odisha to speak at three public gatherings at Malkangiri, Chitrakonda, and Khallikote. In a similar vein, on May 9, Nitin Gadkari will travel to Odisha to speak at a public assembly in Puri and Krushnaprasad.
