Free Electricity From July Says Odisha CM Naveen

Thursday night, BJD president and chief minister Naveen Patnaik conducted a large-scale roadshow in Bhubaneswar to solicit support for his party’s candidates for the Lok Sabha and Assembly. He declared at the occasion that Odisha residents would have free electricity starting in July 2024. He also declared that everyone would use the BSKY. He implored the populace to give him blessings and support “Jodi Sankha.”

Prior to BJD regaining control of the situation, the CM had declared that customers consuming fewer than 100 units of electricity would not be required to pay the bill starting in July. On both sides of the street, thousands of people greeted the CM. The women of Mission Shakti also greeted the BJD supremo by blowing the conch, which is the BJD’s emblem. Senior party leader and 5T chairman Karthik Pandian accompanied Patnaik.

During the roadshow, thousands of city dwellers turned out to see the chief minister and hear his remarks. Ganganagar Chhak was the starting point of the roadshow, which went through the following locations: Gopabandhu Chhak, DAV School Unit-8, HDFC Bank Square, Behera Sahi Square, Bayababa Mutt Chhak, Rupali Square, Ram Mandir Square, Master Canteen Square, and finally, Sisubhawan Chhak.
