Today at Lok Seva Bhawan, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and NITI Aayog CEO B.V.R. Subrahmanyam discussed the Vision Document, which outlines the plan for achieving Bikasita Odisha. Chief Minister Majhi stated during the debate that in order to realize Bikasita Odisha between 2036 and 2047, Odisha has enormous potential in a variety of industries. According to him, Odisha wants to become a major growth engine for India by 2047 and make a big contribution to its development. By 2036, when the state would have celebrated its 100th anniversary of founding, the aim is to have an economy valued at $500 billion. He said that Odisha also aspires to have an economy worth 1.5 trillion dollars by 2047.
Subrahmanyam said that the Prime Minister has a special focus on Odisha’s development. Every state needs to grow exceptionally to achieve the goal of Bikasita Bharat. “In case of Odisha, we will support for the preparation of two vision documents, one for 2036 and another for 2047,” he added.
It was resolved during the discussion to form a steering committee, with the chief secretary serving as its chairman. In three months, the vision’s road map will be ready. Massive public outreach initiatives will be launched to gather feedback and ideas in order to realize the objective of “Bikasita Odisha.” A plan of action will also be prepared to initiate projects in line with the vision. The CEO of NITI Aayog and its colleagues had a lengthy conversation with the secretaries and senior executives of every department before to the meeting with the chief minister.
Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, Development Commissioner Anu Garg, and CM Nikunja Bihari Dhal’s additional chief secretary were among those in attendance.
