Ratna Bhandar Repair & Inventory To Be Completed By Jan 31 Says Prithviraj Harichandan

Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan declared that the Puri Jagannath Temple Ratna Bhandar’s inventory and restoration work will be finished by January 31. Inventory will be completed when the ornaments and other valuables are removed from the makeshift safe.

Harichandan had previously claimed that the large number of devotees during the month of Kartik prevented the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) from repairing the Ratna Bhandar. However, the ASI has made preparations for the repair work, which is scheduled to begin in a few days. He expressed his optimism that the Ratna Bhandar inventory will be completed by the end of January.

It is worth noting that the SOP for the inventory of the Ratna Bhandar was prepared. The inventory will be taken after the ASI repairs it and gives a certificate. The repair should be done in such a way that it will not need any further repair in the next 100 years. There cannot be any interruption in the repair, this is an important part of the SOP.
