Redevelopment of Cuttack Railway Station Picks Up Speed

With the effective elimination of illegal stores and buildings from the Station Bazar area in front of Gate No. 01, the renovation of Cuttack Railway Station has advanced significantly. In the ambitious initiative to turn the station into a top-tier facility, this expulsion represents a significant turning point.

The eviction campaign was carried out to make room for the building of a front road and circulation area, according to an official press statement from the East Coast Railway (ECoR). For this reason, 32 stores had to be taken out. With the help of the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF), ECoR effectively evicted 30 stores in a well-coordinated operation that adhered to all legal requirements. Due to their present sub-judice status, the remaining two stores were unable to be removed.

Road expansion and the development of the circulation area are made possible by this effective eviction. To increase passenger accessibility and traffic flow, the current 10-meter-wide road will be widened to 18 meters. One important stage in maintaining the redevelopment project’s timeline is the prompt completion of this phase.

The renovation of Cuttack Railway Station is expected to provide state-of-the-art facilities, improved passenger convenience, and contemporary infrastructure. Indian Railways is still dedicated to carrying out this revolutionary project effectively, with the goal of transforming the station into a center of efficiency, comfort, and contemporary amenities for thousands of travelers. The renovation project is anticipated to move quickly when this significant milestone is reached, bringing the goal of an improved, well-organized, and passenger-friendly Cuttack Railway Station one step closer to reality.
