The “Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan” to be launch with the aim of creating innovation in agriculture by taking the significant agricultural initiatives of the Central Government to the grassroots level.
According to an official press release, this campaign will run across the country from 29th of May to 12th of June. The Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan to be launch from the historic city of Puri in Odisha.
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will launch the campaign virtually. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, and Fisheries and Animal Resource Development Minister Gokulananda Mallick will join the program.
A preparatory meeting was held today at the conference hall of Krushi Bhavan under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Agriculture, Farmer Empowerment and Energy Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo. Principal Secretary Dr Arabinda Kumar Padhee was also present.
Dr. Padhee stated that the last level of preparations has been achieved for the Viksit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, which will begin on the 29th. Before participating in the Trirangayatra, the distinguished visitors—among them the Union Agriculture Minister—will pay a visit to Puri’s Shree Jagannath Temple. Birgobindapur Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Sakhigopal will host the campaign’s debut. Additionally, the Krishi Ratha will be flagged off. He will thereafter enroll in the CIFA program. In addition, he will participate in the OUAT program and the Mango Festival at the Central Horticultural Experiment Station. As part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, trees are planted as part of every program.
