PM Modi Gives 3 Key Directives to Ministers as India Faces Impact of US-Iran Conflict

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday asked his council of ministers to speed up governance, reduce bureaucratic delays, and strengthen India’s energy preparedness as the country faces the economic impact of the escalating US-Iran conflict in West Asia.

During a marathon meeting lasting over four hours, Modi stressed the need for transparency, quicker implementation of schemes, and improved “ease of living” for citizens. He also warned against files getting stuck in lengthy procedures and urged ministers to focus on future goals under the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.

A major concern during the discussions was the growing uncertainty around the Strait of Hormuz — a crucial global oil transit route — amid rising tensions in the region. The Prime Minister reportedly called for exploring alternative energy sources such as biogas and renewables to tackle possible disruptions in crude oil, gas, and fertiliser supplies.
